In some people, the last portion of small intestine is usually affected but in many people, the disease is located in the large intestine part called colon. Signs could be mild or severe depending upon the several conditions.
The normal trend is that this disease grows with time but sometimes, the signs appear fast without following the normal development trend. Here are some of the major signs of active Crohn’s disease,
Loose stools are usually the result of cramping of the intestine. Diarrhea is one of the major symptoms of Crohn’s disease. So, if you suffer from any kind of diarrhea multiple times, you should contact the doctor as soon as possible.
Fever and Fatigue
Due to inflammation and certain infections, some people suffer from fever and they also feel stressed or tired. This low energy state is also a big sign of Crohn’s disease.
Rectal bleeding is not as much common symptom but it could be one of the severe signs of Crohn’s disease if care is not taken properly. You might notice the toilet with red color spots of blood in the stool.
Due to inflammation and ulceration, the flow of solid material through the body gets disturbed and you may feel intense pain and cramping. You may also feel discomfort. The severe pain could result in utter vomiting and nausea.
The mouth sores like canker sores may also appear. This symptom is usually ignored by the people which can cause serious problems later.
When the Crohn’s diseases become fully active in the body then you start to lose your appetite. The main reason could be the cramping and abdominal pain which doesn’t allow you to eat well.
Losing weight is a huge problem itself, but the people who suffer from Crohn’s disease also start losing weight which is an unwanted activity. It’s mainly because of the loss of appetite. The body’s natural ability to digest certain food becomes vulnerable.
In this disease, the patient feels pain around the anus.
Some other signs may include the inflammation of liver, eyes, and skin.
