Thanks for your honest view on this subject. It was because of you that I had the operation and have never looked back

    Thanks again

    I live with a J pouch for 3 months (since my Take-Down)
in the beginning I went 6-8 times a day and slept full nights.
Now I go 3-5 times a day and sleep a full night.
maybe if I eat really late at night I will go to the bathroom in the night (not always).
I don’t use imodium or something like that.

    Attention all J Pouchers!!
Stay away from raw fish (sushi)the bad bacteria gave me chronic pouchitis for the rest of my life,..ive been pouchitis free for a year now but I have to take (Xifaxan) and inject Cortifoam (steroids) twice a day forever. My Drs assistant told me it was ok to eat sushi and I took her lousy advice.

I have j-pouch and trust me guys it is much better than having UC Yes, u still go to the bathroom more than u need too! but the pain is gone the drugs are gone!… Some people are lucky in diet (can eat anything) some of us like me have to watch what i eat. Overall it takes a long time till your body adjusts and learns what is going on… I am able to lift again, go out to movies, dates etc.. U get ur life back just gotta go to restroom every 3 hours or so.. :)
