    Hi, surgery becomes an option when it is impossible to control your colitis with medicine alone. If you’ve been in a flare up for awhile and you’ve tried all the medicine options, then surgery is worth looking at.

    Basically, the decision to have surgery is based on how soon you want to get control of your life back.
